I’m pleased to announce that our end-of-summer (wow that went fast!) social event will be complemented with a talk by Bukeni Tete Waruzi (Beck) from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Bukeni will be speaking on the use of cell phones in Africa for human rights, specifically involving Child Soldiers, and then show clips from a documentary he made on the subject. In the past, he has spoken before the US Congress and the UN General Assembly and Security Council.
Following his talk, we’ll enjoy some socializing, accompanied by food and drink provided by our generous hosts at Samsung.
It’s all free, and happening this coming Monday, August 28th, 7-9 PM at the Samsung Experience Center (in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle).
If you haven’t already let me know you’re coming, please RSVP as soon as possibly by emailing me at
