it’s been a busy month, with CTIA in LA last week, but when hasn’t it
been busy?
this month, we’ll have a Q&A session with Joe Lazlo, Research Director
of Jupiter Research, to talk about MVNOs: Hype or Here to Stay? this
meeting coincides with the informa MVNO conference in NYC that week.
it should be a very interesting talk and like always, a good time to
meet others interested in mobile. networking session to follow, over
refreshments and snacks, courtesy of Samsung Experience.

As a research director covering broadband and wireless services,
Joseph Laszlo plays a key role in JupiterResearch’s strategic analysis
of new interactive platforms. Laszlo has contributed to
JupiterResearch reports on consumer adoption of voice over Internet
Protocol (VoIP) telephony, ISP churn, cost drivers for broadband
applications, and the growth of home networks. Laszlo has contributed
to JupiterResearch coverage of mobile data services since its
inception. His research includes reports on mobile operator
performance, location-based applications, and wireless data business
strategies.
Laszlo joined JupiterResearch in March 1999. He has an extensive
background of research experience examining the deployment of new
media and Internet technologies, including issues related to content
distribution and wireless and non-PC access. His opinions have been
sought by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Los Angeles
Times and NPR, and he has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, the BBC
and CNN. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and events,
including Internet World, Comdex, the CTIA Wireless IT conference,
CTAM, as well as JupiterResearch’s own Media, Advertising,
Entertainment and Global Wireless forums.

Jay Sheth has more than 18 years of telecommunications industry experience, including serving as Executive Director for Wireless Business Development at General Motors’ OnStar division—a leading provider of location-based safety, security, information and telecommunications services in vehicles. Sheth also held various marketing, business development and product management positions with Sprint Corporation and GTE Corporation. He holds a master’s degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tulane University.
